Payment & Cancellation Policies
Our tutors give so much to our students — time, energy, creativity, and care. In return, our policies are designed to make sure they’re supported with reliable hours and income.
We know life with kids can be unpredictable, and we do our best to be flexible. Please reach out with any questions.
Scheduling & Commitment:
We schedule tutoring sessions in seasonal terms. When you sign up, you’re booking a regular weekly time slot for that term.
Fall = Sept-Dec
Winter = Jan-March
Spring = April-June
If you need to pause or withdraw mid-term, please give 3 weeks notice so we can adjust schedules.
We do our best to accommodate schedule changes, but new time slots cannot be guaranteed mid-term.
Payment & Billing:
Invoices are sent at the end of each month.
Once your weekly time slot is reserved, your tutor has committed that time to your child, so missed sessions are still billed.
Payment is due within 5 days. Late payment will be subject to an overdue fee of 2.5% per day.
There is a one-time, non-refundable New Student Fee of $150 that is applied to all new private students.
Cancellations & Rescheduling:
Each family receives one waived cancellation per term (with at least 48 hours’ notice). After that, our standard policy applies.
We understand that emergencies and illness happen. Please reach out ASAP – we always do our best to be flexible when needed.
Planned Absences:
If you know in advance that your child will be away and give 3+ weeks’ notice, missed session costs may be waived at our discretion.
Tutor Cancellations:
If a tutor needs to cancel, we will make every effort to find a suitable replacement tutor or reschedule the session.
If we are unable to find a replacement or reschedule, you will not be billed for the session.
