Meet the Tutors
Jayme Grieco-Hogg
From teaching at Queen’s University & classrooms in Guatemala to the slopes of Whistler Blackcomb,
Jayme’s interactions with students, teachers, & educational systems around the world have shaped her teaching style today.
Jayme is a Queen’s University Chancellor Scholar who studied psychology & cultural-religious studies.
She started Tutoring With Jayme in 2018, an online tutoring business specializing in university admissions consulting & academic coaching.
Jayme taught while backpacking South East Asia & Central America, eventually earning her Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate in Guatemala in 2019.
Freelancing as an editor for large North American digital marketing firms, Jayme has experience coaching professional writers & optimizing work processes.
Like many travellers, the pandemic sent Jayme out West in search of adventure, which she found tutoring in Whistler & Pemberton since settling here in 2020.
Jayme started High Altitude Tutoring in 2023 to support students in the Sea-to-Sky region by creating a positive & supportive learning environment.
Sophie
Born and raised in Montréal, Sophie is our science whiz & language lover.
Say bonjour to Sophie! After earning her diploma in nursing in 2017, Sophie quickly discovered a passion for teaching as she mentored new nurses and tutored college students.
A lover of books, writing, and exploring the beautiful outdoors, Sophie swapped the fast pace of urban healthcare for the quiet of Pemberton’s mountains. She’s excited to help students reach new heights in French, science, and math!
Liev
Bringing energy, creativity & heart to every lesson.
Born and raised in BC, Liev is now proud to call Pemberton home. She brings a fun, flexible, and student-focused approach to every session — turning learning into an adventure!
TESOL-certified since 2018 and currently completing her Bachelor’s in TESOL Origins and Methods, Liev has over six years of experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds — including neurodivergent learners and young students online.
Known for her patience, clear communication, and ability to adapt lessons to each student’s needs, Liev helps learners build skills and confidence. She also speaks some French and Spanish, adding an extra touch of international flair to her teaching.
When she’s not teaching, you’ll find Liev out exploring — hiking local trails, snowboarding, playing team sports, or enjoying time with her family.
Maddy
Maddy is all about child-led learning through play, especially when it comes to early reading & writing.
You might already know Maddy from her amazing work leading Children’s Programming at the Pemberton & District Community Centre! She creates personalized lessons that fit each student’s unique learning style and daily needs with a commitment to building student confidence through fun and adaptive learning.
Maddy’s background is packed with experience in community programs and sports coaching, a certification in the Responsible Adult Course, and valuable hands-on experience supporting neurodivergent students. Maddy makes sure that every learner feels safe, supported, and included.
Mollie
Mollie’s creative spirit brings an artistic touch to her lessons.
Born in Québec and raised in Whistler, Mollie quickly discovered that doors open when you can express yourself in more than one language.
Her experience working as a Language Specialist at La Passerelle sparked her passion for education. Combined with her background in marketing and creative design, Mollie knows how to make learning fun.
When she’s not teaching or creating, you’ll find Mollie soaking up Whistler’s natural beauty, on the lookout for her next source of inspiration.
